Hi, I am Alaina Deshazo.

I’m so glad you stopped by! I am a photographer based in southeast Alabama. I have been interested in photography for as long as I can remember, and I turned that passion into a degree at the University of Alabama, where I graduated in 2013 with a BA in photography.

After graduation, I spent several years as a photojournalist in Selma, Alabama. I wrote stories, designed the paper, and took photos during my time there. Working as a journalist gave me a different perspective on photography and led me to working with families, children, and couples.

My journalistic style leads me to interact with my clients and strive to not only capture memories, but to help create them in a fun and relaxed session.

Outside of photography, I am a wife and a mom of two young children. My family is everything to me. I think that is why I enjoy capturing couples starting their lives together, and families as they expand and grow.

My assistant and my second is my husband, Blake. His background is in videography, though he has worked with stills for many years. He is great with unique ideas, and always keeping me on track!
